Hans is a member of the Supervisory Board of Priva Holding, the world leader in computerized management of greenhouses. His academic affiliation includes Adjunct Professor at Tias Nimbas International Business School, Senior Lecturer at Nyenrode Business University, and Visiting Lecturer at Delft University of Technology and the Dutch School for Police Leadership.
Robert de Souza, Ph.D. – Executive Director / Chief Executive and Professor, The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific
Dr. Robert de Souza leads The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific, a premier Singapore-based organization nurturing logistics excellence in industry, postgraduate research and education. The institute has won the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Award for best educational course provider for the past nine years and the Supply Chain Asia Award for training and education for the past three years.
Before joining the institute, Dr. de Souza was Executive Vice President for V3 Systems, Corporate Senior Vice President and Global Chief Knowledge Officer at Viewlocity Inc. and Vice Chairman and CEO of SC21 Pte. Ltd. He is a Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the USA and a Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore. He has published extensively and is a member of the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, the International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications, and SMBNet. He is a Chartered Engineer and serves on multiple industry, government and academic committees, including the Resource Panel for the Government Parliamentary Committee on Transport, the Advisory Panel of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Singapore, the IDA RFID Alliance (now part of the National RFID Centre), and the IBM Global University Partners Leadership Advisory Board. Dr. de Souza received his Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. Honours in the United Kingdom.
Clayton Noble – Executive General Manager, Fuji Xerox Australia
Clayton has over 25 years managerial experience, most of which has been in the supply chain, logistics and business operations fields. His career has spanned multiple industry sectors across a number of countries.
Clayton joined Fuji Xerox Australia in 2010 as Executive General Manager Supply Chain following a successful tenure at Dell, where he held the position of Director of Business Operations, Asia Pacific and Japan. Prior to Dell, Clayton held executive level supply chain positions with BAX Global (a global third-party logistics provider) in Singapore and in Sydney where he held VP/CEO positions. He also held senior supply chain and operations roles with Kmart. His logistics career began in the Royal Australian Air Force where he held various positions in procurement, systems development and operational support. His last role in the RAAF was as a Commanding Officer in a logistics squadron. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Science Degree in Logistics Management from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.
Michael Nielsen – Transportation Operations Manager (ASEAN & India), Caterpillar Logistics
Michael is an experienced supply chain manager having lived in several Asian countries including India, China and Singapore. He currently holds the position of Transportation Operations Manager for ASEAN and India with Caterpillar Logistics. He has worked with multiple Fortune 100 companies as well as set up his own companies in Hong Kong, Denmark and Singapore.
During the past 10 years Michael has developed unique insights to supply chain management, having held senior positions in Logistics, Commercial and HR divisions. The diversity of his career has enabled him to understand the strategic position of a company to enable value capturing from source to point of use. His ability to connect the dots enables him to identify where most value can be created. He has set up business continuity plans for back-offices in India as well as done a turn-around in warehousing and distribution in Europe. Michael holds Executive MBAs from INSEAD and Tsinghua University. Michael completed his undergraduate degree in International Business at Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Gene Ochi – President, Client Growth, UTi Worldwide
Gene is a founding member of UTi's shareholder management team and has served in various roles
of increasing responsibility, including Chief Marketing Officer. He was our Global Leader of Client Solutions Development, leading the company's focus on developing solutions for our global and strategic clients. He has been instrumental in the development and branding of the company's long-term vision of becoming a leading provider of truly global integrated logistics services. Gene also served as Regional Vice President, Western USA, of Union-Transport Corporation, a UTi predecessor company. Before joining UTi, Gene was Senior Vice President of Marketing at BAX Global. He also served in various executive capacities for the Flying Tigers cargo airline and as the Vice President of Marketing for WTC Air Freight. Gene received a BS degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
