UTi China recently achieved a major milestone in becoming the only global logistics provider with their own bonded warehouse license at the Pudong airport. All other bonded warehouses in the airport currently operate under the name of the state or a joint venture company. This development has been a strategic objective in the country's development plan for some time now, and comes about through a very thorough and persistent drive by David Cheng, Chairman of UTi China and his team. The warehouse is now one hundred percent under UTi's management enabling them to control all aspects of their service in this major strategic market, and provide further competitive advantage to its customers. This is a real differentiator which sets UTi apart from the international competition.

Additionally, UTi China has also received their own customs clearance license, and has a staff of professional customs brokers who handle all customs clearance and documentation. This positions UTi as one of the few global companies who can offer a complete integrated solution within China.
